Al Qadsiah FC secured a thrilling 3–2 comeback victory over Al Ahli Saudi FC on Friday night in the 26th round of the Saudi Pro League at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium.
Al Ahli dominated the first half and went into the break with a two goal lead. Ivan Toney opened the scoring in the 27th minute before Valentin Atangana Edoa doubled the advantage in the 42nd minute.
However, Al Qadsiah mounted a dramatic comeback in the second half. Musab Al Juwayr pulled one back in the 63rd minute to spark hope for the home side. As the match entered stoppage time, the momentum shifted completely.
Turki Al Ammar equalized in the 90+2 minute before Ibrahim Al Mahnashi completed the remarkable turnaround with the winning goal in the 90+8 minute.
Despite the defeat, Al Ahli remain second in the table with 62 points. Al Qadsiah moved up to fourth place with 60 points, tightening the race near the top of the standings.
The result delivered one of the most dramatic finishes of the Saudi league season, with Al Qadsiah scoring twice deep in stoppage time to snatch all three points.
