Fatma Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Communications and Media in the organizing committee for football tournaments, said that the 11th edition of the Arab Cup, which will be held in Qatar from December 1 to 18, will be exceptional and will break records in terms of attendance and viewership.
The 2025 Arab Cup will see the participation of Egypt’s second national team, led by coach Helmy Tolan, who will face Kuwait, the UAE, and Jordan in the group stage.
Fatma Al-Nuaimi confirmed, in statements to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), that the organizing committee completed all preparations for the tournament long ago in order to present it in the best possible form in all aspects, organizational, fan-related, and technical, just as Qatar consistently does when hosting major sporting events, especially football.
Al-Nuaimi pointed out that the strong demand for match tickets, nearly 500,000 sold so far, reflects the immense enthusiasm among fans to follow the tournament, which is being held under the umbrella of FIFA for the second time since the federation recognized it in the previous 2021 edition.
She added that this fan excitement coincides with unprecedented media interest.
The organizing committee has received more than 3,500 media accreditation requests from various outlets to cover the event.
Many television channels in the Arab world and beyond have already acquired broadcasting rights, while negotiations with other networks are ongoing, especially since the preliminary qualifiers, featuring 14 teams from which seven will advance to the finals starting next month, have not yet concluded.
The Executive Director of Communications and Media expressed her confidence that the 11th edition of the Arab Cup, which kicks off in a few days, will be one of the most successful tournaments in terms of organization, technical level, and fan engagement.
She confirmed that, according to initial indicators and projections based on audience interaction, the tournament is expected to set new records in attendance and viewership.
She added that the organizing committee will officially announce the final statistics at the conclusion of the tournament.
The tournament will take place from December 1 to 18, 2025. The top two teams from each group in the first round will advance to the knockout stages leading up to the final.
