Al Nassr secured a crucial victory over Al Ittihad in a high-profile Saudi Pro League clash, claiming a 2–0 win on Friday in Matchday 21 of the 2025–2026 Roshn Saudi League season.

The match was played in the absence of Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo for the second consecutive game, amid reports of his dissatisfaction with the club’s transfer strategy during the winter window.

Despite his absence, Al Nassr managed to deliver a late surge to settle the contest.

The first half ended goalless, with both sides struggling to break the deadlock in a tightly contested encounter that appeared destined for a draw.

However, the hosts found the breakthrough late in the match.

Sadio Mané opened the scoring in the 85th minute from the penalty spot, calmly converting to put Al Nassr ahead.

Deep into stoppage time, Angelo Gabriel sealed the win with a second goal in the 96th minute, ensuring all three points for the home side.

The victory lifts Al Nassr’s tally to 49 points, keeping them in second place in the league standings and just one point behind leaders Al Hilal, intensifying the title race.

Al Ittihad, meanwhile, continued their inconsistent run of form, remaining on 34 points and slipping to seventh place in the table, as pressure mounts following another disappointing result in a key fixture.

The result reinforces Al Nassr’s title credentials, even as uncertainty continues to surround Ronaldo’s situation off the pitch.
