Saudi club Al Nassr have officially announced the signing of Abdullah Al-Hamdhan, the Saudi Arabia international striker, on a free transfer during the winter transfer window.

The club confirmed the deal in a statement published on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, revealing that Al-Hamdhan has signed a contract to join the first team.

However, Al Nassr did not disclose the duration or financial details of the agreement.

Al-Hamdhan completed the move after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract with Al Hilal ahead of its expiration on February 8, allowing him to finalize the transfer before the winter transfer deadline.

The 25-year-old forward becomes Al Nassr’s second winter signing, following the acquisition of Iraqi midfielder Haider Abdul Karim from Al-Zawraa.

Al-Hamdhan previously played for Al Shabab before joining Al Hilal in the summer of 2022. On the international stage, he is a regular member of the Saudi national team, having featured in the most recent Arab Cup and contributed to Saudi Arabia’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The move also marks a reunion between Al-Hamdhan and Portuguese head coach Jorge Jesus, under whom the striker previously worked during his time at Al Hilal.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr saw Brazilian winger Wesley Teixeira depart the club during the winter transfer window, completing a move to Real Sociedad in Spain.
