Six minutes later, Ihab Galal's men affirmed their deserved victory by adding the third through Austin Amutu's right-foot shot.

The Green Eagles made an ideal start to their adventure in the Confederation Cup by demolishing Malindi 4-1 in the away game on Sunday, September 15. They are taking part in this tournament as they finished fourth in the Egyptian Premier League.
