The article shed light on the increasing tourism flow to the Egyptian hotspots and the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM), set to open in the fourth quarter of 2020.

It is the biggest museum in the world allocated to one civilization – as the third axis. The museum will display the full collection of King Tutankhamun reaching 5,000 pieces.

“This is the only museum that has the pyramids as its backdrop, so you can take a selfie with Tutankhamun and the pyramids outside," Mashat said in an earlier interview.

It also talked about the weekly sailings by Nile cruise liner Sanctuary Retreats with its wooden boats which give the tourists the opportunity to see the Nubian sandstone cliffs and the ancient tombs and temples of Luxor.

It pointed to the newly-renovated Oberoi’s ship and Medinat Habu, the resting place of Rameses II.

Al-Mashat expressed her happiness that Egypt is at the pioneering world's tourist destinations as CN Traveller mentioned, adding that the great attention to the most famous tourist spots in Egypt is a major indicator for the Egyptian tourism sector's success.

On her part, the Egyptian Tourism Authority posted the article on its page on Instagram - Experience Egypt
