Today an EZCH convoy of crossed the Rafah land port into the G..az..a Str..ip, in the sisterly State of Pale..stine, to provide support and assistance to our brothers and sisters in the Ga..za St..rip. The convoy is dispatched under the directives of HE Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif & Chairman of the EZCH Board of Trustees.
The convoy consists of 40 trucks loaded with medicines, food and relief materials, and shelter and living supplies. This is the second convoy sent by the EZCH to our brotherly people in Ga..za, under the Help Ga..za campaign, launched by the EZCH since the beginning of the occ..upation’s aggr..ession against our people in the Ga..za Str..ip.
The campaign draws on our religious and legal duty and our humanitarian and moral commitment towards our brothers and sisters. It is meant to support them in light of the humanitarian tragedy and stifling siege with which they have been afflicted.
The first convoy, which was launched at the end of last month, included 18 trucks. Two weeks later, the EZCH scheduled this largest convoy, which included 40 trucks loaded with relief, medical, food, and shelter and living supplies.
