Al-Azhar Grand Emam Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb called on the world to help rescue those stuck in taking action due to the earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey.
In a tweet, Al-Azhar Grand Imam said: "Our hearts are broken with pain by the horrific sights of the severe earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey."
He added: "I call on the world to come to the rescue of those who are stuck in taking action, to lend a helping hand to the wounded, and to hurry to save lives from under the rubble and the derelict, O God, have mercy on your defenseless servants."
