Al-Arish International Airport in North Sinai received on Friday a Saudi aircraft carrying humanitarian aid destined for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as part of ongoing relief efforts coordinated through Egypt.
An official source at Al-Arish Airport said the plane was loaded with food aid provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to be delivered to Gaza. The shipment included a variety of food baskets intended to support civilians affected by the recent conflict.
The source added that the cargo was offloaded and transferred by trucks to the logistics warehouses in Al-Arish City, in preparation for its entry into Gaza through coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent Society.
According to airport officials, this marks the 67th Saudi relief aircraft to arrive at Al-Arish Airport. Since the start of the Israeli offensive on Gaza in October 2023, a total of 1,042 aircraft carrying over 27,000 tons of aid and relief materials have landed at Al-Arish. The assistance has been provided by 53 Arab and foreign countries, as well as several regional and international organizations.
The Al-Arish air corridor continues to serve as a vital humanitarian gateway for the Gaza Strip, facilitating the delivery of food, medical supplies, and relief materials amid ongoing efforts to stabilize conditions in the enclave.
