Al Ahly continues its preparations for the upcoming edition of the Club World Cup, amid strong movements in the transfer market to strengthen the team's ranks before the global event.

A responsible source within the club revealed to "Sada El-Bald" that the Red administration aims to secure four new deals in the upcoming period, in light of developments regarding the renewal of contracts for several players whose contracts expire at the end of the 2024–2025 season.

The source explained that Al Ahly is close to finalizing a deal for a local international winger who excels on the right flank, while Congolese player Derek Kutesa, from Swiss club Servette, remains a serious consideration, especially since he will be a free agent in the summer, despite no direct moves to sign him yet.

The source pointed out that the contracting management is seriously considering bringing in a new center-back in anticipation of the potential departure of either duo Rami Rabia or Yaser Ibrahim, should they fail to reach an agreement on renewing their contracts.

Al Ahly is also studying the possibility of signing a local left-back as a substitute, in case the option to buy Yahya Attiyah Allah is not activated, especially since this season may be the last for Tunisian Ali Maaloul in the red castle's jersey.

These movements come as part of a comprehensive plan prepared by the coaching staff led by Marcel Kohler to ensure the team appears in the best possible shape for the anticipated tournament, in which Al Ahly is participating as one of the teams representing the African continent, alongside Wydad Casablanca from Morocco, Esperance from Tunisia, and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa."
