Al Ahly player Mohamed Sherif announced Sunday that he had contracted corona virus.
Through his official Instagram account Sherif said: "Corona's sample is positive.. Praise be to God."
Sherif was in Egypt's national team camp for Togo encounters in the third and fourth rounds of the African Cup of Nations 2021 Qualifiers in Cameroon.
He scored his first international goal in the Togo encounter in the fourth round, in the match that the Pharaohs were victorious at by the score of 3-0.
He participated in Al Ahly training as soon as he returned to the Red Castle, after his loan period with Enppi ended.
The Red Devils are preparing to play the CAF Champions League final match against Zamalek on November 27 at Cairo Stadium.
It is worth noting that Sherif is the fourth Al Ahly player to be infected with the Corona virus after Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba”, Saleh Gomaa and Ahmed Yasser Rayaan contracted the virus days ago.
