On Thursday, the Al Ahly club informed the Egyptian Football Association that they won't participate in the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Al Ahly said in an official letter that they appreciate the invitation of participating in the tournament that will take place in the KSA.
However, the club apologized for not taking part in it due to the current situation of Al Ahly in different competitions and their tight schedules.
In addition, the football team's players are suffering from various injuries and exhaustion.
The club added in their letter that the tournament will take place between July 20 and August 5 which will not give the technical team the required time for setting the new season's training program.
