Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reportedly expressed interest in signing Yazan Al Naimat, the 26-year-old striker for the Jordan national team and Qatari club Al-Arabi, during the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to Jordanian newspaper Al-Rai, the Al Ahly management has assigned Sayed Abdel Hafiz, a board member responsible for the football department, to open negotiations with Al-Naimat next month.

The club is reportedly ready to pay the release clause in Al-Naimat’s contract with Al Arabi, signaling their determination to secure the Jordanian forward.

Al Ahly, the most successful club in CAF Champions League history, aims to bolster their squad ahead of a congested fixture schedule under Danish coach Jes Thorup.

Al-Naimat rose to prominence last year after scoring crucial goals for Jordan, helping the national team finish runners-up in the AFC Asian Cup in Doha.

His performances earned him nominations among Asia’s top players and contributed significantly to Jordan’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

He further showcased his impact at the recent Arab Cup 2025 in Doha.
