Al Ahly is expected to announce its new head coach next week after negotiations with a highly regarded candidate entered the final stages. The move follows the club’s decision to part ways with Danish coach Jesse Torp in recent hours, paving the way for a new era on the technical bench.
As part of a comprehensive restructuring of its football operations, the Al Ahly Board of Directors, chaired by Mahmoud El Khatib, approved a series of key appointments during its meeting on Thursday evening. The decisions came following recommendations submitted by Vice President Yassin Mansour and football affairs officials led by Sayed Abdel Hafeez.
The new appointments include Wael Gomaa as Director of Football, Mohamed Youssef as Head of the Youth Sector, Essam Serag El Din as Head of Contracts, Shady Mohamed as Director of Women’s Football, Abdel Moneim Shata as Director of the Academies Sector, Ahmed Ramadan as Head Coach of the Women’s First Team, Hesham Hanafy as Football Supervisor at Delphi, Samer Abdel Rahman as Head Coach of Delphi’s football team, and Abdullah Shehata as Legal Advisor to the Football Sector.
The changes reflect Al Ahly’s strategy to strengthen its football structure across all levels while preparing for the arrival of a new head coach. Club officials are confident that the new leadership team will support the club’s ambitions and help drive continued success both on and off the pitch.
