Al ahly : Ready for the first leg of Champions League Final

The Reds are done with their preparations to face Esperance of Tunisia today in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.

The team's main training session was held yesterday at Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades.

Marcel Koller, our head coach, was keen to speak with the players to stress on some tactical points related to the final and the importance of achieving a positive result ahead of the second leg.

The Red Eagles did some strong fitness and tactical drills on the grass, while our goalkeepers, Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir and Mostafa Makhlouf, carried out an intense training session

Marcel Koller coach of Al Ahly team said :

“Facing Esperance this year is completely different from last season, the final is completely different from any knock out matches,"

Koller pointed out that he has watched five Esperance matches so far and that the Tunisian team has improved a lot this year.

“Tomorrow's match requires intense focus from everyone. We will do our best in the two matches to achieve the title."

He added that both teams have the same chances, and although experience plays a major role, there is no advantage for any team in the final.
