The Competitions Department of the Football Association decided that Al-Ahly will not participate in the Egypt Cup for the current season 2024 after withdrawing last season.
Al-Ahly had apologized for participating in the round of 16 match last season against Farco, so Al-Ahly was considered withdrawn and the regulations were applied to it, which is to deprive it of participating in the current season's Egypt Cup.
The regulations stipulate that in the event of withdrawal from the Egypt Cup competition, the Farco team is considered the winner with a score of 2-0, with a fixed fine of one million pounds, and it is deprived of participating in the tournament next season, which is what happened.
