The Egyptian Premier League defending champions Al Ahly continued dropping points after holding a goalless draw against Pyramids in the 9th round of the league to lose their sixth point after their third draw.

Ramadan Sobhi made the first-ever real threat in the match when he received a long-pass ball to make a nice move from Al Ahly's defender, playing the ball to John Antwi in the penalty area, but his poor shot went far from the right post in the 41st minute.

The Red Devils' keeper made a wrong pass to be cut by Sobhi, who moved away, but Al Ahly's defender cleared the ball to save his club.

Al Ahly's forward Walter Bwalya wasted a great opportunity for the Red Devils when he went through one to one position, but he passed a meaningless pass to Kahraba, and the ball cleared by Pyramids' right-back Omar Gabr in the 72nd minute.

Referee Gehad Grisha disallowed a goal for Bwalya due to a foul in the 74th minute.

Five minutes later, Kahraba received an excellent pass from Amr El Solia, but his left-foot shot went above the right post.

Pyramids' keeper Sherif Ekramy made a brilliant, as he denied Bwalya's shot from a very close range.

The Red Devils are now topping the Egyptian Premier League table with 21 points, while Pyramids are in the fourth spot with 14 points.

The Red Devils' goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy made a brilliant save to Donga's powerful shot in the injury time to save his club.
