Al Ahly held to 1-1 draw against El Gouna in Egyptian League

Al Ahly of Egypt failed to resume their successful run towards their defending campaign of their Egyptian League crown as they held a 1-1  against  El Gouna.

Taher Mohamed Taher had opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 58th minute of the match after firing a right-foot shot from the outside of the box into the left bottom corner.

One minute later, Afsha hit the bar after unleashing a powerful shot into the left post. El Gouna's goalkeeper was brought into action as his save denied Afsha's shot in the 73rd minute.

Mohamed Nagib fired a powerful header in the 86th minute to net the equaliser for his side.

Al Ahly are now in the second spot with 37 points as the Red Devils have two postponed games if they win these matches they will go at the top of the table with three-point difference.
