Al Ahly has dropped out of the top 100 clubs in the world, according to the latest rankings published by the global website Football Database.
Al Ahly ranked 104th globally, falling out of the elite group for the first time in a while. They also came in third in Africa, behind Mamelodi Sundowns, the top-ranked team, and Pyramids FC, the reigning CAF Champions League champions.
Pyramids FC ranked 77th globally, making them the highest-ranked Egyptian club. They also secured second place in Africa, behind South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, a clear indication of their improved performance and results in recent times.
