Al Ahly SC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over rivals Al Zamalek SC in the Egyptian Women’s Football League on Friday, as part of matchday 26 of the competition.
Al Ahly took an early lead through Nour Youssef in the 8th minute, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Lolo Nasser doubled the advantage in the 18th minute, before Nora Khaled added a third goal shortly before halftime in the 43rd minute to seal the result.
The win sees Al Ahly move to 71 points at the top of the league standings, level on points with Masar FC, who still have a game in hand.
Al Zamalek remain on 37 points following the defeat.
Al Ahly delivered a composed and clinical display, capitalizing on early chances and maintaining control throughout the match, while Al Zamalek struggled to respond against their rivals’ attacking pressure.
