On Friday, Al Ahly captured a precocious and huge 1-0 win over the Tanzanian Simba at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. 

The game was the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. Al Ahly's Ahmed Nabil Koka scored the game's only goal in the 5th minute.

The second leg of the match will take place on April 5 at Cairo International Stadium.

With this victory, Al Ahly made a new achievement as they managed to beat Simba for the first time in history. In the past 40 years, the Reds failed to defeat the Tanzanian team in various African competitions.
