Al Ahly handily defeated Enppi 2-0 in their first game since the Egyptian Premier League’s return after the coronavirus hiatus to maintain their unbeaten run.

The Red Devils struggled to create chances in the first half of the game as Enppi’s resolute defending made it difficult for Al Ahly to find any openings within their opponents defenses, with both teams failing to prove their danger against the other

Al Ahly managed to break the deadlock in the 65th minute of the game through their right-back Mohamed Hany.

Ayman Ashraf sent a precise long through ball, picked out Mohamed Hany, who chipped the keeper with a deft header to make it 1-0.

Just a minute before full-time, Al Ahly doubled their lead as Ali Maaloul’s delivery into the box from a freekick went past all the players and Enppi’s goalkeeper into the back of the net to secure all three points.

The win takes Al Ahly to their 58th point at the top of the Premier League table this season. Their next game will be away against Entag El-Harby on Friday, August 14th. Kick-off takes place at 21:00 CLT.
