Al Ahly claimed a convincing 3–1 victory over Wadi Degla on Tuesday evening at Cairo Stadium, in a match played as part of the 16th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly took control of the game early, relying on their attacking trio to apply sustained pressure. Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet opened the scoring in the 25th minute after capitalizing on a defensive error, skillfully dribbling past the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into the net.

The Cairo giants doubled their lead before halftime when Zizo converted a penalty after a VAR review confirmed a foul on Emam Ashour. Al Ahly went into the break firmly in control, dominating possession and limiting Wadi Degla’s attacking chances.

In the second half, Al Ahly maintained their offensive momentum and added a third goal through Marwan Othman, effectively sealing the outcome. Wadi Degla managed to pull one back through Ziad Osama, but the goal proved only a consolation as Al Ahly saw out the match comfortably.

With this result, Al Ahly raised their tally to 26 points from 13 matches, moving into third place and continuing their steady rise toward the top of the league table. Wadi Degla remain on 23 points from 15 matches, holding fourth position.

The victory reinforces Al Ahly’s growing momentum in the league and keeps them firmly in the title race as the competition enters a decisive phase.
