Al-Ahly Club will receive Hiro Mustafa, the US Ambassador to Cairo, at 1:00 PM today, Monday, to coordinate with the club's management regarding several matters related to the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States next month.
The US Ambassador to Cairo is scheduled to meet with the Al-Ahly Board of Directors during today's visit. Several matters related to the global tournament, including the Al-Ahly delegation's travel and accommodation, and other matters related to the upcoming trip will be discussed.
Al-Ahly is playing in the Club World Cup in Group A, which includes Inter Miami of the United States, Porto of Portugal, and Palmeiras of Brazil. Al-Ahly will begin its Club World Cup campaign against Inter Miami on June 15.
Al-Ahly officials are awaiting the arrival of $1.5 million (approximately 70 million Egyptian pounds) from FIFA, representing the first installment of the bonus for the club's participation in the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States next month.
Al-Ahly will receive approximately $9.5 million.
