The mission of Al Ahly SC arrived in Tanzania on Wednesday ahead of its CAF Champions League group-stage match against Young Africans SC.
The delegation is headed by Mohamed El-Damaty, a member of Al Ahly’s board. The Egyptian champions are set to face Young Africans on Saturday afternoon in the fourth round of Group Stage matches of the CAF Champions League.
Egypt’s Ambassador to Tanzania Sherif Ismail received the team upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar. El-Damaty thanked the ambassador and embassy staff for the reception and assistance in completing arrival procedures. Al Ahly administrative director Samir Adly was also present to finalize logistics.
Head coach Yves Tourre announced the squad for the match, which includes Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Hamza Alaa, Yasser Ibrahim, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed Sherif, Marwan Attia, Hussein El-Shahat, Achraf Bencharki, Emam Ashour, Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Hany, and Ahmed Nabil Kouka, among others.
