Al Ahly have continued restructuring plan during a meeting chaired by club president Mahmoud El Khatib.

The restructuring proposal, presented by vice president Yassin Mansour and board member Sayed Abdel Hafiz, who were delegated to oversee football affairs, was approved as part of the club's preparations for the upcoming season.

The most significant decision was the appointment of Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta as the new head coach of Al Ahly's first team.

Ammouta will lead the club alongside a newly formed technical staff aimed at strengthening the team's ambitions both domestically and on the continental stage.

Al Ahly also confirmed the appointment of former Egypt international Yasser Radwan as a member of the club's new coaching staff. The move adds valuable local experience to the technical team as the club seeks to build a balanced structure around its new head coach.

Ammouta arrives in Cairo with an impressive coaching résumé and a reputation as one of the most successful managers in Arab and African football.

His achievements include guiding Wydad Casablanca to the CAF Champions League title in 2017, as well as leading the Moroccan giants to the domestic league championship.

The Moroccan coach also enjoyed continental success with FUS Rabat, winning the CAF Confederation Cup, and later guided AS FAR Rabat to the Moroccan league title.

His ability to build competitive teams and achieve success in different environments has made him one of the most respected coaches in the region.
