Al Ahli staged a dramatic comeback to earn a 3-3 draw against Al Hilal in a thrilling Saudi Pro League clash on Friday night at Al-Inma Stadium, as part of Matchweek 3.
Al Hilal dominated the first half, racing into a three-goal lead.
French defender Theo Hernández opened the scoring after just 12 minutes, before Brazilian winger Malcom struck twice in the 24th and 41st minutes to make it 3-0 at halftime.
But the second half brought an incredible turnaround. Ivan Toney pulled one back for Al Ahli in the 78th minute, then doubled his tally with a second goal in the 87th.
In stoppage time, Merih Demiral completed the comeback with a 91st-minute equalizer, sending the home fans into celebration.
With the draw, both Al Ahli and Al Hilal move to 5 points, sitting 7th and 8th respectively in the league standings.
