Ahmed Mekky's sister shares update about his health

Enas, an Egyptian actress and sister of Ahmed Mekky, shared Saturday a health update amid his ongoing battle against the coronavirus.

In a phone-in with "Al-Hadath Al-Youm" channel, Enas revealed that the actor had spent seven days, so far,  home-isolating and undergoing the treatment protocol approved by the World Health Organization.

She added that a number of the electronic committees of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group gloated about his illness, after his participation in “El Ekhteyar 2” series, in which he plays an Egyptian police officer who participates in the dispersal of the sit-in at Rab'a al-Adawiya.

“El Ekhteyar: Regal el Zel” is written by Hany Sarhan, directed by Peter Mimi and produced by Synergy production company.

It also stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Farag, Eyad Nassar, Injy El Mokkaddem, Asma Abulyazeid, Mohammed Alaa, Eslam Gamal, Ahmed Shaker Abdul Latif, Ryad El Khouly and others.

“El Ekhteyar: Regal el Zel” will also feature late actor, Hady El-Gyar.

The production will center around the events of 2012 from a new angle as well as highlighting the martyrdom of the Ministry of Interior officers, who sacrificed themselves for the country during the period of 2013-2020.
