Egyptian actor, Ahmed Helmy will play iconic Egyptian Nobel Laureate, Naguib Mahfouz in an upcoming artistic production.
TV presenter Khairy Ramadan announced Monday the news on his “Cairo Talk” program, broadcast on “Al Kahera Wal Nas” channel.
Ramadan cited private sources who said that Helmy has been researching and reading for some time on this topic.
The TV presented noted that he did not know if the actor will play Naguib Mahfouz in a film or TV series.
Ramadan stated that the move will forward Helmy to a new path in his artistic career, and will also encourage many stars to play famous symbols of great value.
The actor’s latest artistic work is the 2019 film, “Khayal Maata”.
It also starred Menna Shalaby, Khaled El Sawy, Bayoumi Fouad, Entsar, Samy Maghawry, Mahmoud El-Lisy, Yasser El Tobgy, Hassan Hosny, Lotfy Labib, Abdelrahman Abo Zahra, Rashwan Tawfek, and more.
The film was written by Abdul Rahim Kamal and directed by Khaled Marei.
