Ahmed Helmy Talks About New Film "Lessa Heta"

Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy has shared details about his upcoming comedy film "Lessa Heta".

Helmy noted in a press statement that he portrays a thug who suffers from mental disorders.

He added that the film will also contain action scenes.

"The film discusses several issues related to mental disorders and how to treat and overcome them," added Helmy.

The project is written by Sherif Naguib and directed by Ahmed Alaa.

"Lessa Heta" is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon.

Helmy was last seen in the film “Wahed Tani”, starring Ruby.

It also stars Amr Abdel Gelil, Nesreen Amin, Nour Ehab, and others.

Director Mohamed Shaker Khodeir helmed the film from a script by Haitham Dabbour.

Helmy, born on November 18, 1969, started his career in 1993 on the Egyptian Satellite Broadcast.

He made his acting debut in the 1998 acclaimed film “Aboud Ala El Hodoud” (Aboud on the Borders), co-starring with Alaa Waley El Din, and Karim Abdel Aziz.

Thereafter, Helmy quickly made a jump to leading roles in films such as “Omar 2000”, “El Nazer” (2000), “El Selem We Al Tho’ban” (2001), and "Sahar El Layali" (2003).
