Egyptian actor Ahmed Elawady will travel to the USA for his latest film “El Beldouzar”.
Director Tarek Al Eryan will begin the principal photography in October in Las Vegas.
The project is produced by Synergy Films and is the first Egyptian and Arabian film about Mixed martial arts (MMA).
The MMA is a combat sport based on striking, grappling, and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world.
The project also marks Elawady's first lead role in a film.
On the other hand, the actor is collaborating with his wife Yasmin Abdelaziz in a new TV series, which is set to screen in the Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.
The untitled project will witness the third collaboration between the couple after 2021’s TV series “Elly Maloush Kbeer” and 2019’s TV series “Lakher Nafas”.
It is helmed by director Mostafa Fekry and screenwriter Nasser Abdel Rahman.

Elawady was last seen reprising his role as terrorist Hisham Ashmawyn in the second season of the acclaimed TV series “El Ekhteyar” (The Choice).
The first season co-starred Amir Karara as martyr Colonel Ahmed el-Mansy in the series. El-Mansy was the commander of Sa’ka Forces (Thunderbolt Forces) battalion 103, who was martyred with several other members of his battalion on July 7th, 2017.
They were killed during clashes between Egyptian army forces and militants in a terror attack launched on an Egyptian armed forces checkpoint in El-Barth Village, Rafah, North Sinai.
The second season centered around the events of 2012 from a new angle as well as highlighted the martyrdom of the Ministry of Interior officers, who sacrificed themselves for the country in 2013-2020.
The series also featured Karara reprising his role from season 1.
Both parts of the series were one of the highly-anticipated productions in the drama marathon.
