Ahly, Zamalek Players to Undergo CAF PCR Tests Today

The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) will make on Wednesday that PCR tests for Al Ahly and Zamalek players, according to the precautionary measures implemented due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

The Red Devils are set to face off the White Knights on Friday in the CAF Champions League finals.

CAF announced that the coronavirus swabs will be taken from all the players today at 11:00 am CLT.

Both clubs' players underwent PCR tests on Monday, as Al Ahly discovered two coronavirus cases; midfielders Walids Soliman and Mahmoud Kahrab.

While the White Knights announced a coronavirus case among the squad for defender Mahmoud El Winsh.

Al Ahly qualified for the final after thrashing Morocco of Wydad with 5-1 on aggregate victory, while Zamalek demolished Morocco of Raja with 4-1 on aggregate win.

The winner of the final will play against RS Berkane in the CAF Super Cup on December 10.
