Cairo Giant Al-Ahly and Pyramids FC are set to face off on Monday night in the highly contested Egyptian football rivalry as they compete for the Egypt Cup 2021/2022 title.

The Egypt Cup final will be officiated by Egyptian referee Amin Omar.

The Red Devils are aiming to win their second title of the season after winning the Super Cup title back in October.

Meanwhile, Pyramids hope to end their long wait for trophies, especially after splashing cash over the past few seasons.

Ahly coach Marcel Koller expressed his confidence in the players' ability to beat Pyramids FC and win the Egypt Cup title.

"We prepared well for the final and are focused. I have a lot of confidence in my players ahead of this match."

The Swiss tactician has all of his key players for this game except for long-time injuries Karim Fouad and Akram Tawfik, in addition to Taher Mohamed and Mahmoud Metwally who haven't gained full fitness yet.

On the other hand, Portuguese coach Jaime Pacheco will have to do without international winger Mostafa Fathy and veteran defender Ali Gabr due to suspensions.

The game will be played in Cairo International Stadium, and 20,000 supporters will be allowed to attend.
