Ahli Jeddah Win 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Title After Defeating Japan's Kawasaki 2-0

On Saturday, Saudi Al Ahli captured the AFC Champions League title after defeating Japan's Kawasaki Frontale 2-0 in the final match.

The match took place at the "King Abdullah Sports City" stadium in Jeddah, with crowds surpassing 52000 people. 

Al Ahli's Galinho scored the first goal in the 35th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area. 

Then, Ivorian star Frank Kessié doubled the lead with a precise header in the 41st minute, giving the Saudi team an advantage before the second half. 

Al Ahli reached the final after defeating their domestic rivals, Al Hilal, 3-1 in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Kawasaki Frontale secured their spot in the final after defeating Al Nassr FC 3-2 in their semi-final match.

Brazilian Roberto Firmino, striker for Al Ahli, was crowned the best player of the AFC Champions League for the first time in his history.
