African Volleyball Championship kicks off in Egypt

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the African Volleyball Championship.

The tournament runs until September 14 at Indoor Hall 2 at Cairo International Stadium.

The opening ceremony was attended by Hisham Hatab, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, Yasser Amar, President of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, and Frederick Nodolph, Vice President of the African Volleyball Federation.

The Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his happiness with Egypt's organization of this important tournament, expressing his confidence in the ability of Egyptian players to win the African title.

Egypt's national volleyball team will participate in the African Championship in Group A with Burundi and Algeria.
