Africa Should Pay Attention to Renewable Energy Projects: Aboul Enein

High-profile Egyptian businessman Mohamed Aboul Enein, Head of the Arab Investors Union underlined the importance of maritime transport development to serve the Arab-African market.

Addressing, the 51st ordinary meeting of Specialized Arab Federations, Aboul Enein referred to the project of linking Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean Sea, describing it as an ambitious one that would contribute to exporting products to Africa and different European countries.

“Africa should pay more attention to renewable energy projects,” he confirmed.

Moreover, the businessman noted that about 60% of the Arab element are intelligent youth, who are capable of producing.

Regarding Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) crisis, Aboul Enein stressed that Arab countries should adopt a clear position towards this issue. “We seek a peaceful solution that would be beneficial for all parties,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that, Aboul Enein chaired today the activities of the 51st ordinary meeting of the specialized Arab federations on the sidelines of the 1st Arab-African Economic Conference, hosted in Cairo.

The session is attended by Managing Director of privately-owned TV channel Sada ElBalad Elham Abul Fateh.

The conference seeks to achieve economic integration between Arab and African countries and promote cooperation between them through the implementation of joint programs and projects in various developmental areas, as well as encouraging the private sector to invest in industrial and agricultural sectors.

The conference tackles the challenges facing Arab-African investments and ways to promote Arab-African trade.

The conference also addresses the Arab-African food security (agriculture sector), the size of the food gap in the Arab and African countries, Arab investment opportunities in the development of the African agricultural sector, in addition to reviewing success stories related to the Arab-African cooperation in the agricultural sector as well as manufacturing and water problem.
