The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has extended a formal invitation to heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, development finance institutions, academics, and international partners to attend the 33rd Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM2026), set for June 21-24, 2026, in El Alamein, Egypt.
Held under the auspices of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the event adopts the theme "Intra-African Trade and Industrialisation: Pathway to Economic Sovereignty." It aims to explore how boosting intra-African trade can fuel industrial transformation, strengthen regional value chains, and secure Africa's economic independence amid global economic shifts.
The meetings will serve as a key platform for discussions on Africa's integration agenda, the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), capital mobilization for industry, and essential trade, payment, and logistics systems to build a resilient African market.
From June 21-23, participants can engage in high-level dialogues, plenary sessions, thematic seminars, side events, and entertainment. The program culminates in a closed Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on June 24.
