The Afghan Embassy in India announced yesterday, on Saturday evening, that it will suspend its operations starting today, citing a "lack of support from the host country," failure to serve Afghan interests, and the desire to reduce personnel and resources.

According to The Indian Express, the Afghan Embassy in New Delhi expressed regret in announcing its decision to suspend operations as of the 1st of October.

In their statement, the embassy said, "With deep sadness, regret, and disappointment, the Afghan Embassy in New Delhi announces the decision to suspend its operations."

The embassy further explained that this decision followed careful consideration, taking into account the historical relationship and long-term partnership between Afghanistan and India.

The embassy stated that it "lacked support from the host country," citing a noticeable absence of vital support from the host government, which has limited its ability to carry out its duties efficiently.
