The social media website Twitter witnessed a large number of positive interactions and comments regarding AFCON 2019 opening ceremony. The ceremony was held for half an hour at Cairo Stadium. Through the hash tag #AFCON2019 , it was clear how people world-wide admired the ceremony’s songs, music, shows and designs.

The whole African culture, arts beside the Egyptian pharaonic civilization were embodied by 3D optical techniques. There were much focus on the pyramids, the Nile River and the Egyptian Tanoura show was absolutely amazing. African people expressed pride to belonging to the dark continent and some of them considered the event as a kind of magic while others believed it’s the most important incident in 2019.
Other people stressed that Egypt outperformed any expectations in this respect and the ceremony was even better than that of FIFA World Cup.
Regarding celebrities, the renowned Egyptian singer Amr Diab sent a tweet saying, “congratulations to Egypt on this outstanding opening ceremony “. On his part, the singer Samo Zaen had a comment saying “ This is the legendary Egypt.. the source of civilization and the heart of Africa and Arab countries.”
The Egyptian anchor Lamis Elhadidy and sports journalist Ibrahim Fayek thanked the event planners for the impressive results of AFCON 2019 Opening. The Egyptian Actor Nabil El Halafawy pointed out to the few time needed to organize such a great party which impressed everybody even people in Israel. It’s worth mentioning that the ceremony’s preparations started 6 months ago after Egypt was chosen to host the championship instead of Cameroon.
