Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp unveiled on Friday that goalkeeper Adrian could miss the Reds' clash against Southampton on Saturday in the Premier League due to a freak injury.
Liverpool's second- choice keeper, whose penalty save from Tammy Abraham secured the UEFA Super Cup for the Reds against Chelsea on Wednesday, August 14, suffered a freak injury because of post-match celebrations in Istanbul.

The German coach expressed his sorrow over Adrian's injury. "A supporter jumped over something, was chased by some security guys, slipped and kicked his ankle. Crazy," Klopp said according to Liverpool's official website.
"There's no doubt about how much we love our fans, there's no doubt about that at all, but if they all could stop doing that - that's the worst example we have so far heard about," he added.
Klopp announced on Tuesday, August 13 that Liverpool's first-choice keeper Alisson Becker would not be among the Reds’ squad for the next few weeks due to his calf injury.
Alisson suffered a calf injury against Norwich City in the opening match of the Premier League and was replaced by summer signing Adrian.
The UEFA champions league winners lifted the Super Cup on Wednesday at Vodafone Park Stadium in Istanbul, where they defeated the Blues on penalties 5-4 following a 2-2 draw.
It is worth mentioning that the Reds made an ideal start to the 2019-20 season by demolishing newly-promoted Norwich City at Anfield 4-1 on Friday night. Liverpool will resume their adventure in the Premier League against Southampton on Saturday, August 17.
