Adel Emam Celebrates His 82nd Birthday

The renowned Egyptian star Adel Emam celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, May 17, and received a large number of congratulatory messages on his official social media platforms.

Emam, one of the finest actors that the Arab world film industry could ever have, turned 82 today.

On his special day, both fans and celebrities took to their social media accounts and penned down a sweet message for the maven star.

In the same context, renowned Egypt’s actor Karim Abdel Aziz took to Facebook to wish Emam on his birthday. Abdel Aziz wrote a heartfelt message on his official Facebook  page, “Happy birthday to the greatest Egypt’s and Arab showbiz icon of all time. May God bless you with good health and long life. “ Happy Birthday Master.” along with two heart emojis.

Emam is the most renowned name in the history of Egyptian cinema. Emam who has been in the film industry for over 50 years now, was born in El Mansoura city, in 1940.

Often referred to as the ‘Big Boss, ’ Emam has given numerous films that garnered attention from people across the Arab world.

Emam’s rise to fame was slow and steady and he made a lasting name for himself in the Egyptian film industry with numerous domestic and international awards and countless remarkable Egyptian movies showcasing his impeccable acting skills.

The great comedian actually made his big breakthrough with his success in ‘Masrahit Elmoshaghbin’ theatre show and many remarkable films and stunning performances followed suit. His magnificent performance in 'Al-Wad Sayed Al-Shaghal' play won his much praise from Arab fans and critics alike.

The most acclaimed actor in his generation is well-known for a variety of unforgettable roles. That includes playing Prince of The Darkness, ‘Morgan Ahmed Morgan‘ , ‘Hassan and Marcus‘, The lawyer Hassan Sapanekh in Al-Avokato (1983), the Arab country president in seven-year staged play Alzaeim (1993), Arafa the flunkey in Al-Halfout (1985), the undercover policeman in Khamsa Bab (1983) and Al-Nemr wa Al-Ontha (1987).

Emam, a recipient of various accolades, including several awards for best actor for his role in the cinema title (Yakobean Building), has been the country’s highest-paid actor for decades.
