Culture Min. Commemorates Famous Sculptor Adam Haneen

The Minister of Culture decides to put the name of the great sculptor Adam Haneen on one of the most important halls in the “Arts Palace ".

The hall old name was "Etigah and it is allocated for young promising talents; this comes as an appreciation for Haneen artistic accomplishments that were recorded in the history of the modern and contemporary plastic art.

This was announced by Dr. Khaled Sorour, head of the plastic Arts Sector.

Dr. Sorour said that the new slogan for the hall was inspired by the unique artistic spirit of Adam Haneen, which genuinely expressed the Egyptian identity, confirming the preparation of a retrospective exhibition of the works of Haneen to be held in Arts complex after the end of the lockdown in Egypt.

It is worthy of note that the late Haneen was characterized by his ability to shape the solid materials, in addition to his skill of drawing on papyrus with natural paintings and dyes.

Haneem achieved many prominent artistic marks in the Egyptian and international field of plastic arts.
