AC Milan have confirmed a sweeping restructuring of their football operations, announcing the departure of head coach Massimiliano Allegri along with three senior club officials after the team failed to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The decision follows Milan’s disappointing finish to the Serie A campaign, where they ended up in fifth place, securing only a Europa League spot after a poor run of form in the closing stages of the season.

In an official statement, the club said the objective for the season had been to return to the Champions League and build a foundation for sustained success in Italian football.

While Milan spent much of the season in the top two positions and briefly challenged for the title, their late collapse ultimately defined the campaign as a failure.

The club added that recent performances were inconsistent with earlier form, highlighting a decisive defeat in the final match that sealed their European setback.

Milan confirmed the end of its relationship with CEO Giorgio Furlani, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, and Allegri, thanking them for their efforts and commitment during their time at the club.

The statement concluded that further appointments will be announced in due course as the club prepares for a full rebuild ahead of next season.
