AC Milan moved temporarily to the top of the Serie A table after edging past Cagliari 1–0 on Friday night in Round 18 of the Serie A, in a match played at the Unipol Domus Stadium in Sardinia.
The decisive moment came five minutes into the second half, when Portuguese star Rafael Leão found the net in the 50th minute to secure all three points for the Rossoneri in a tightly contested encounter.
With the victory, Milan climbed to the top of the standings with 38 points, albeit temporarily, as the title race remains highly competitive. Cagliari, meanwhile, stayed in 14th place with 18 points.
Friday’s win extended Milan’s impressive unbeaten run in Serie A to 16 consecutive matches, comprising 11 victories and five draws, their longest such streak since the 2021–2022 season.
The result further underlined Milan’s consistency and growing momentum as the league campaign progresses.
