CAIRO, Nov. 28 (SEE)- "In fact, I meant to present you with a brief summary of my career to envision the challenging journey of reconstructing the desert," with these words Mohamed Abul-Enein, Egyptian industrialist and chairman of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament, opened a lecture at the Nile University (NU).

In a 45-minute lecture, the Egyptian industrialist and economist elaborated how he managed to transform the barren desert into industrial, agricultural, real estate and other projects.

In his discussion with student, Abul-Enein said: "I want to grab your attention to the persistence of Egyptian youth. You are a wealth of power and efficiency that is not insignificant. You are a living model and the most fortunate of us.”

He continued: “You are witnessing today's digital revolution through which you can innovate starting from where others’ ended. Your life journey is essential to enhance the civilization of modern Egypt.”

"I am proud of you and the university’s status. We have achieved our dreams with the help of various activities, studies and colleges. In fact, all the disciplines I have learned about the university are needed in my organization,” added Abul-Enein.

The industrialist offered a personal invitation to the university's members and professors to visit his projects and institution, headed by Dr. Tariq Khalil, the university president, to see the industry on the ground, stressing: "You will be proud of the industry in Egypt."

Moreover, Abul-Enein granted various educational opportunities to outstanding students at the university. "I am pleased to offer 10 scholarships annually to students nominated by the university as well as instant career opportunities for the top 10 graduates at ‘Ceramica Cleopatra.’”

Another pronouncement was that the entire ‘Ceramica Cleopatra’ corporation is setting up a complete building for the university. For his part, Khalil entitled the premises "Mohammed Abul-Enein Building" in recognition of the businessman’s efforts in the service of education, society and industry.

The lecture involved a number of discussions between the students and the university professors with Abul-Enein, in which he announced the establishment of industrial schools in ‘Al-Ain El-Sokhna’ area under the supervision of the Nile University. The initiative aims to merge pre-university education with the university’s within the framework of Egypt’s 2030 vision under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Furthermore, Abul-Enein stressed that El-Sisi hopes to run Egypt into a modern renaissance worthy of its glory and civilization in-which youth join in raising the statue of the country. He manifested that nations are currently measured by the extent of creativity, thought, production and perfection. “The ongoing war of innovation, creativity, added value and everything related to creativity.”

Abu Al-Enein recounted his early career and the struggle to set up the first Egyptian ceramics factory explaining that the proposal was rejected by the Minister of Industry at the time. Then, Dr. Ali Lotfi, who designed the feasibility study for the factory, presented the idea to the president who in return called for the construction of 18 other factories. “We started and worked day and night until ‘Ceramica Cleopatra’ became what it is now.”

At the end of the lecture, Abu Al-Enein toured the newly commenced wing entitled “Fact Festo Authorized and Certified Training Center,’ expressing his admiration for the small projects and practical trainings.

It is worth mentioning that this year, Abu-Elenein won the award of the best industrialist in Africa for 2018 from the African Union for the distinction of Cleopatra in the manufacturing. He was also awarded the Nobel Prize for the Mediterranean and ‘Stella Al Merito’ award for his social contributions and philanthropic activities. Ambassador Nabil Makram, Minister of Immigration and Expatriates’ affairs, hailed Cleopatra's suite at “Real Estate Egypt” exhibition in London, UK.
