A delegation from the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment has presented an honorary shield to Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit in recognition of his efforts to promote joint Arab action, advance sustainable development, and strengthen environmental awareness across the region.
The award was delivered at the Arab League’s headquarters in Cairo and received on Aboul Gheit’s behalf by Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, head of the Economic Affairs Sector.
Al-Malki highlighted the Arab League’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development as core pillars of its economic and social agenda, praising the union’s role in supporting related Arab policies and raising environmental awareness.
Union Secretary-General Dr. Ashraf Abdel Aziz said the honor reflects the union’s pride in its partnership with the Arab League and appreciation for its leadership in fostering Arab cooperation and advancing comprehensive development initiatives.
