Aboul Enein Vows to Fulfil His Parliamentary Duties

MP Mohamed Aboul Enein, deputy head of Nations’ Future met earlier today Sunday, a number of parliamentary editors at the press center, and exchanged congratulations with them, ahead of the plenary session.

On his part, Aboul Enein stressed his keenness to deal with all mass media outlets, vowing to fulfill his parliamentary duties and present bills that would contribute to serving citizens, and pushing forward the wheel of the economy.

Last Tuesday, Chancellor Lasheen Ibrahim, Head of the National Elections Authority (NEA) announced the victory Aboul Enein in the parliamentary by-elections for the Giza district with a wide range of votes.

Ibrahim announced that Aboul Enein received 36,213 votes.

The other competitors including, Hisham Badawi got 6,911 votes, while Al-Amir Mousa Ahmed obtained 272 votes, and Magdy El Sayed El-Sayed Yassin got 273 votes.

The voting process in the by-elections for Giza district took place in the most complete calm, and the NEA did not receive any complaints that affected the electoral process.

Here is a brief introduction on Aboul Enein’s previous parliamentary experience:

The chairman of Cleopatra Group began his political activity since 1984, with a strong will to spur wheel of change and development.

In 1995, he was appointed as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR). Later, he was elected for office in 2000, 2005 and 2010 elections.

He was elected as the Chairman of the Committee on Housing, Public Utilities and Construction (2000 – 2005), then the Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Energy (2005-2011).

As a member of parliament, Aboul Enein was keen to perform his legislative and supervisory role with impartiality and integrity, putting the general interest above any other consideration.
