Abou El-Enein: Sisi Races against Time to Save Egypt from Collapse

Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein said that “we saw what the situation was like in Egypt before the June 30, 2013 revolution, when museums were destroyed and the scientific complex was burned.”

During his speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) forum in partnership with the United Nations on combating crime in the Italian city of Naples, broadcast on the “On My Responsibility” program, presented by Ahmed Moussa on Sada El-Balad TV channel, Abou El-Enein added that the scientific complex contained 200,000 books and rare manuscripts. A car bomb was detonated in front of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).

The Parliament deputy speaker stated that Egypt lived through dark years until the June 30 revolution came. “The true expression of the desire of the Egyptian people was protected by the army. He confirmed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi was elected unanimously and this changed the parameters of Egypt and builds today's modern Egypt and a new civilization.

Abou El-Enein explained that Sisi is racing against time to save the state from collapse and strengthen its institutions. He added that through the state's efforts at the security, developmental and intellectual levels, Egypt has managed with its own capabilities to defeat terrorism and dry up its sources.

He pointed out that Egypt was able to confront illegal immigration, fought a great war for development, and sustainable development spread throughout Egypt.

MP Abou El-Enein added that the New Administrative Capital is 3 times larger than Cairo. He pointed out to 14 new cities that were established in the heart of the Egyptian desert, after Egypt used to live in an area of only 6%, and now urbanization has expanded to 14% of Egypt’s area in 10 years.

He affirmed that Egypt is creating new concepts for dialogue with young people, as Egypt is a young country and Africa is a young continent. “Egypt has confronted and punished terrorists. Those whose hands are stained with blood are currently in prisons and the dialogue was with the youth who were deceived.
