On Wednesday, Parliament Deputy Speaker Mohamed Abou El-Enein mourned former veteran Prime Minister Kamal Al-Ganzouri who passed away earlier today at the age of 88.

"Al-Ganzouri, during his reign as Egypt's Prime Minister, contributed to developing the country through an exceptional administrative mentality and a wise policy, which made him one of the best premiers who assumed the duties of the Egyptian government throughout its history,"  Abou El-Enien posted on his “Facebook” official page.

He stressed that Egyptian history will not forget that Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzouri stood by the country at a difficult time when he was called to head the government in 2011 by the military council, to preserve the country's gains, protect its resources and lead it towards security and stability.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Abou El-Enein said.

We ask God Almighty to grant our deceased his mercy and rest in peace, and to inspire his family, his family and his loved ones with patience and solace, and we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
