Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament Mohamed Abou El-Enein initiated a moment of silence, remembering the sacrifices of Palestinian martyrs. His speech during the General Investors' Meeting highlighted the unbreakable spirit and continuous struggles faced by the people of Palestine, amid incessant Israeli assaults.

The minute of mourning, he expressed, symbolizes a strong symphony of unity and silently broadcasts the steadfastness of the Palestinian people globally. The international community, Abou El-Enein urged, must fulfill its responsibilities in safeguarding civilians and civilian infrastructure, which is the undeniable right of the brave, resilient Palestinian people.

Despite continuous Israeli attacks, the indomitable spirits of the Palestinian people have held firm, harboring an unshakable sense of hope and unity among themselves. They have become the guardians of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and like olive trees, they stand together, weighed by a history of countless sacrifices made by their loved ones. Palestinians have recognized that their sacrifices have forged an unbreakable bond of solidarity with them worldwide, and they remain committed to perpetuating the dreams of their martyrs. A resilient vow to rebuild their lives places their homeland, Palestine, on a path toward peace and prosperity, echoing beyond their city's limits into the world.

Egypt’s Empathy Towards Gaza's Inhabitants

Egypt, both its leadership and citizens, have continually demonstrated deep sympathy and robust support for the people of Gaza during numerous challenging times. When the inhabitants of Gaza face ongoing Israeli aggression, the Egyptian people unite, confronting the situation with a fervent desire to assist and profound empathy. This empathy represents enduring values and principles that have long been part of Egypt’s history. Egypt consistently responds to Palestine's plight, always standing beside them during crises.

Not confined to material aid, thousands of Egyptians donate blood, communicate the actualities of the aggressions on international platforms, and utilize media awareness to support the people of Gaza in all possible ways. Despite Egypt’s own economic and political challenges, its citizens continually find innovative ways to contribute to supporting the people of Gaza.

Forced Displacement

The Israeli occupation's efforts to forcibly displace citizens from the Gaza Strip, giving them a 24-hour notice to move to the south of the sector under a blockade depriving them of food, water, and electricity, is incompatible with international humanitarian law. In the context of an Israeli military siege, humanitarian organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, cannot provide assistance to citizens. The extensive needs of the people of Gaza are immense, and humanitarian organizations must be able to enhance relief operations. The total blockade declared by the Israeli occupation is indeed causing a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, with estimates indicating the displacement of over 250,000 people, the sole electric power station ceasing operation, and a severe shortage of water.
